Pycnogenol®

Pycnogenol® is a natural plant extract from the bark of the maritime pine tree which grows exclusively along the coast of southwest France in Les Landes de Gascogne.

The extract has four basic properties – it’s a powerful antioxidant, acts as a natural anti-inflammatory, selectively binds to collagen and elastin, and finally, it aids in the production of endothelial nitric oxide which helps to vasodilate blood vessels.

Acai Berry Extract

Acai Berries contain ten times the antioxidants of grapes and twice that of blueberries. The versatility of the Acai Berry is making it the latest wonder food. The Acai Berry is naturally rich in omega fats, amino acids, electrolytes, antioxidants, protein and Vitamins A, B1 and E.

The major benefits of the acai berry are thought to include its strong heart health benefits. The acai berry is known to be a rich source of compounds called anthocyanins. These anthocyanins are the same compounds thought to give red wine its health benefits, but acai berries may contain even higher concentrations of these healthy chemicals than wine, with none of the health risks associated with alcohol.

The acai berry is also a rich source of protein and dietary fiber, in addition to high levels of both omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids, thought to have a protective effect on the heart and cardiovascular system. Awareness of the necessity of calcium for long term bone health has grown substantially and calcium fortification has exploded across the food chain. While Vitamin C is the most commonly known vitamin, its health promoting benefits go beyond its ready availability.
